Planets
If the signs are the stage, the planets are the actors on it. Each planet represents a life force: the Sun your identity, the Moon your emotions, Mercury your mind… The sign and house they sit in tell how those forces find expression.
In astrology there are two lights (the Sun and the Moon), three personal planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars), two social planets (Jupiter, Saturn), and three generational planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto). The personal planets describe your daily life, while the generational ones describe the shared theme of a generation.
