1. Parties and acceptance
These Terms form the agreement between the Cosmir brand (“Cosmir”, “we”) and the person using the Cosmir website (cosmirai.com) or the Cosmir mobile app (“you”). By starting to use the service you accept these Terms and the End-User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not accept them, you must not use the service.
2. Nature of the service — important notice
Cosmir provides birth-chart calculation and astrological interpretation. The astronomical computations (planetary positions, house divisions) are based on real celestial mechanics; the astrological interpretations are, by nature, a tool for personal insight, entertainment, and reflection. No content in Cosmir is medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice, and it does not replace expert opinion in those fields. Base decisions about your health, money, relationships, or legal situation on the relevant professionals and your own judgment, not on your chart. A chart is a map of possibilities — the decisions and their consequences are yours.
3. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. If you are under 18, you may use the service only with the consent of a parent or guardian. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
4. Account and security
- You provide accurate and current information when you create an account.
- You are responsible for the security of your account and credentials; never share your password.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account; notify us if you notice unauthorized use.
- One person, one account; you may not transfer your account to anyone else.
5. Acceptable use
- You may not use the service for any purpose contrary to applicable law.
- You may not place a load on the service beyond reasonable use with automated tools (scraping, bulk requests), nor attempt to bypass security measures, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service.
- You must only use another person's birth details with their knowledge and consent — compatibility (synastry) is a tool for curiosity and insight, not surveillance.
- You may not use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others.
6. AI-generated content
Interpretation texts are produced by AI and are, by nature, generative; they may at times contain incomplete, repetitive, or ill-fitting statements. Treat these texts as a starting point and a tool for reflection — not as absolute fact or professional advice. We do not guarantee that generated content will carry any particular result or accuracy.
7. Free and paid features; credits and subscriptions
The web calculator and the core features in the app are free. Some AI-powered features consume credits, and subscription plans are offered for higher usage.
- Credits are consumable virtual units used within the app. They have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable except where required by law or the applicable store policy. Free credits granted at sign-up or via referral likewise have no cash value.
- Subscriptions (e.g. Yıldız and Kozmos; monthly or yearly) are auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal fee is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your store account's subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period you are in.
- The current price, period, and scope are shown in the app and the store before you buy; the binding price is the one in the store and may change from time to time.
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google; refund and billing requests are subject to the relevant store's policies. For digital content and services that begin performance immediately with your explicit consent and are consumed, any right of withdrawal may be limited to the extent permitted by applicable consumer law.
8. Intellectual property
The Cosmir name, logo, design, interface, texts, and software belong to Cosmir and are protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may share and quote the result page of your own chart; however, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially reuse the service or its content. Third-party components such as Swiss Ephemeris are subject to their own licenses.
9. Third-party stores and services
When you obtain and use the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's own terms of use also apply. Purchases, subscription management, refunds, and billing are largely handled by the relevant store. The App Store additional terms below also apply.
10. Disclaimer and warranty
We compute planetary positions with the Swiss Ephemeris and the house system with Placidus, and we aim for the highest rigor at the calculation layer. Even so, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranty of any kind regarding uninterrupted access, error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or that interpretations will lead to a particular outcome.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cosmir shall not be liable for any use of, or inability to use, the service; for decisions taken in reliance on interpretations; for data loss; or for indirect, incidental, or special damages. Where liability does arise, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim (zero for free use).
12. Indemnity
You agree to hold Cosmir harmless from reasonable claims, damages, and costs arising out of your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the service.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or harm the service. You may terminate the agreement at any time by deleting your account from within the app. After termination, provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, limitation of liability, disputes) remain in effect.
14. Changes and effect
We may update these Terms from time to time; the current version is always published on this page and takes effect when published. On meaningful changes we refresh the date at the top and also announce significant changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Mandatory rights you hold as a consumer under applicable law (including recourse to consumer arbitration committees and courts) are reserved.
16. App Store (Apple) additional terms
If you obtained the app through the Apple App Store, the following terms also apply and, in the event of conflict, this section prevails over the other provisions of these Terms:
- This agreement is between you and Cosmir only, not with Apple. Cosmir is responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price you paid, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and Cosmir is responsible for any claims arising from a failure to conform to a warranty.
- Cosmir, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your possession and/or use of it, including product liability, non-compliance with law, and consumer-protection and intellectual-property claims.
- Cosmiris responsible for investigating, defending, and resolving any claim that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. embargo and are not on any U.S. list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce it against you.
